What is spyware?

spyware is often a component of a software application that you intentionally install. This is especially true of free software downloaded from the internet. spyware can also be part of a computer virus executed by an unsuspecting user. And, even though you may remove the virus or fix the problems it caused, the spyware remains on the computer, collecting data and reporting back to parties interested in stealing information.

How do I know if I have a virus or spyware (Malware)?

When spyware is on your PC it will almost certainly cause your internet connection to dramatically slow down. Another symptom of Malware is getting an excessive amount of annoying pop-up windows. Left untreated, spyware could begin to crash your computer and even lead to identity theft.

How do I keep viruses and spyware off of my computer?

Here’s what you can do
  1. Be cautious of suspicious emails from unknown sources, as they can infect your computer
  2. Steer clear of websites of ill repute — these are a haven for malicious and annoying intruders
  3. Make sure that you have Anti-virus and Anti-spyware installed on your PC and don’t forget to update it every week
  4. Be sure to update your PC with the latest patches from Microsoft

I have a wireless network and I can’t connect to it. What do I do?

Power cycling your modem can often restore connectivity. Here’s how:
  1. Shut down and turn off all computers on the network.
  2. Unplug both the cable modem and router.
  3. Wait a few minutes. Plug in the cable modem.
  4. After the lights stop flashing on the cable modem , plug the router back in.
  5. Wait until the lights stop flashing on the router. Turn on any computer on the network.

My computer is slow. What could be causing the issue?

There could be a number of things causing your PC to slow down. It could be that you have too may programs running in the background. Or it may be from spyware or viruses. So if you don't have virus or spyware  software then get some, If that does not help then call us and we can help
